==History==
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital was formed from the union of two hospitals, and opened in 1909 at The Woodlands, Northfield. The building, dating from 1840, was donated to the Birmingham Cripples Union by George Cadbury,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Royal Orthopaedic Hospital )〕 who then moved into Northfield Manor House.
A new 8-million-pound out-patient department was opened in May 2011. Its 24 consultation rooms, treatment rooms and other facilities replaced the temporary out-patients buildings that had been used since 1992.
